Protected by the great Andes chain of mountains and the beautiful coast of the Pacific Ocean, lays Olivares De Quepu olive farms which are bringing us the most delicate, desirable and quality olive varieties that allow us to obtain one of the top olive oils ever produced. Founded in 1998, Olivares de Quepu was the first Chilean Olive Oil producer that obtained it&＃039;s oil from one kind of olive variety (Monovarietal oil). This special characteristic makes Olivares de Quepu a pioneer in the Chilean Olive Oil industry, by providing a unique range of varieties for it&＃039;s 100% Extra Virgin oils. Olivares de Quepu is one of the largest and most recognized olive oil producers in Chile, which is also supported by prizes, gold medals, recognitions and distinctions won at: - L´Orciolo d&＃039; Oro in Italy - Concorso Oleario Internazionale Armonia - Maestri Oleari, Italy - L.A. County Fair, Los Angeles, CA Olivares de Quepu, owns more than 800 hectares at the Pencahue Valley, Talca. The farm is located app. 250 km. south of Santiago. The processing and bottling plants were built in the same farm in order to be as close as possible to our delicate raw material. All of our oil is obtained by processing our own olives, which are carefully harvested manually and mechanically depending on the location of the olive trees at the farm. To produce our olive oil, Olivares de Quepu has imported the latest technology machinery from the E.U. which allow us to process around 200 tons/day of olives. We are capable bottling the oil in different formats and bottle sizes. We currently produce about 1.000.000 Kgs of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and expect to double this production by the year 2012.
