Phenicia Foods is a totally exporting company located in Tunisia, in a region Phenicia Foodll-known for growing the most delicious fruits and vegetables, thanks to its smooth weather all the year round. Phenicia Foods is expected to enter into production starting the third quarter of 2009 and intends to provide its customers with a wide range of incomparable nutritional and safe finished products made of intense and natural flavoured local tomatoes and fruits, to be marketed under the registered trade mark PheniciaThe products Phenicia will be processed with state-of-the-art processing facility under the strict standards of codex alimentarus. Hence, allowing us to meet the highest sanitary requirements and ensure proper technical procedures with an aim of accomplishing the HACCP certification as soon as the production process begins. Our range of products includes mainly: Dehydrated tomatoes: seasonal then later off-season-selected ripe tomatoes, sorted manually and cut mechanically in half. The tomatoes are then dried in dehydrators then taken to the packing line, coded and labelled, and finally stored either frozen in negative cold storage rooms, or fresh in positive cold storage rooms. Dehydrated fruits: apricots, figs, prunes, golden and dark raisins etc. . a selection of the finest ripe fruits picked from the surrounding fields. They undergo the same meticulous washing and sorting process, then cut and dehydrated. The product is then coded and labelled and taken to cold storage. The result is a brilliant coloured, intensely flavoured ingredient. ..
