Tonfada Tech Co., Ltd. Was established in Oct. , 2003 by a group of experienced professionals in IT industry. Tonfada Tech Co., Ltd. located in downtown Taichung City, Taiwan, and will be relocating into the Central Taiwan Science Park by the end of September, 2008.
Seeing a car accident on site, the head engineer decided to work on several automobile safety systems to prevent car traffic accidents from happening or at least to reduce the accidents. Very often, traffic accidents not only cause property loss but also death. Therefore, we strive to research and design automobile safety equipment in high quality and supply the products to the world. We position ourselves in an automobile electronics field, and we have been developing several automobile safety systems for the market. Currently, one of the hottest safety systems is Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) in automobile safety field, and we have developed a unique LDWS named Rayguard LDWS to the market. Unlike regular LDWS using CCD / CMOS cameras for parts in LDWS, we do not use cameras but use different technologies for LDWS functionality. Our technologies have received Taiwan & US patents in March 2008, and the Automobile Research & Testing Center in Jan. , 2006, Report# B94PG353 had tested the Rayguard LDWS and gave it very high remarks in accuracy rate and functionality. The technology is based on detecting the color differences between the lane markings and lane ways, which is dynamic and reactive in real time. The technology is very advanced and so many countries have been expressing their interests in us.
We understand nowadays, automobile businesses are getting more and more competitive in many ways, and in addition to safety quality guarantee, cost down becomes one of the major issues for business concerns. Thus, we developed LDWS in a less cost mode but provide the same function as other LDWS does.
