Dear Sirs, This presentation letter comes to introduce my name in the field of development of gas fired appliances for the heating sector, like residential hot water combination boilers, instantaneous and storage water heaters, space heaters, heat exchangers and burners. My experience in this field comes from fifteen years spent in the R& D laboratory of the principal atmospheric burner manufacturer in Europe, Polidoro SpA. , initially as R& D manager and lately involved also in product support. While at Polidoro, I worked for major European gas fired appliance manufacturers, like: Vaillant, Bosch-Junkers, Viessmann, Buderus, Atag, Nefit, Saunier Duval, Ferroli, Beretta, Riello, Ariston-Merloni, Immergas, Biasi-Savio, Sime, Roca, Fagor, Turk Demir Dokum, etc. . . Subsequently one year spent working in Gastec (the major Gas Certification Body in Europe) gave me a grater knowledge in the matters of certification of gas products, especially for the CE mark. Since 1998 I have been working as a freelance consultant in developing appliances for manufacturers and preparing them to get the CE mark, I follow the full product cycle from the conceptual idea to the final approval by a Notified Body. This includes initial drawing layout, manufacture of the prototypes and also testing for quality mark conformity (like Blue Angel in Germany) or safety mark (like CE mark in Europe) . I have access to a laboratory for design verification tests and a mechanical workshop for the prototype manufacture. I use CFD software to simulate fluid-dynamic behaviA. G. C. I also make regular visits to the customer sites in order to fully inform my customer on the progress of the projects. My work typically involves the complete set up of the production line for the atmospheric or premixed burners, e. g. multi-blade burners and / or copper finned heat exchanger for combi boilers. I also research potential suppliers for presses, dies, tooling and related machines, when required. I organize training sessions for technicians of gas laboratories to illustrate in detail the most important applications of gas combustion in residential appliances (how they work, how to improve them and how to test them to meet the CE Standards) . I work extensively on the preparation of gas appliances (coming from abroad Europe) to get the CE mark, improving the performance and ensuring conformance to the safety standards required by Gas Directive, Efficiency Directive, Low Voltage Directive and EMC Directive.
