Founders

Amar Immunodiagnostics is founded by a scientist, Dr. Jayant Bhanushali with a Ph. D in Immunology from University of Georgia, Athens, GA, USA. Dr Jayant has served as consultant to Ortho Diagnostic Systems, India and Diamedix Corporation, USA. He personally developed Chinese Cry1Ac- specific ELISA and Cry1EC- specific ELISA kits which are unique and available exclusively from Amar Immunodiagnostics. He has over 25 years of hands-on experience in developing Immunoassay test kits having developed many innovative manufacturing processes for better stability and quality of the reagents.

Manufacturing infrastructure

Amar Immunodiagnostics, being a research based company and a leading provider of high quality GMO testing kits to seed companies in India and around the world, has its own animal house to make polyclonal antibodies and a tissue culture lab to make monoclonal antibodies for tight control over the valuable components to ensure consistent quality and performance. The company also has a modern immunochemistry lab to make different kit components and proprietary technology to make ELISA kits which are stable and have longer shelf life. Since the company has a complete control over crucial raw material (antibodies), it is capable of making consistent quality product without any supply interruptions.

The Company is a leading manufacturer of ELISA kits in India and has its manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, India. The facility has a capacity to manufacture close to a million plates in a year. The company conducts stability tests to guarantee maximum shelf life for all its plates. The Coefficient of Variation between wells manufactured by this facility is usually less than 3%. The Company has perfected a unique process to manufacture plates without any "edge effects".

The research and manufacturing facilities are managed by highly skilled personnel, having Doctorate and Master of Science Degrees and who have more than 40 years of experience between them.
