Atlantic Orient Corproation is the manufacturer of the AOC 15/50 wind turbine.The AOC 15/50 is a 50kW, 15 m diameter wind generator ideally suited for remote communities, industries, institutions, municipalities and agricultural operations. The AOC 15/50 is especially designed to operate in harsh remote locations and can be installed without cranes or heavy equipment. A frequent application for the AOC 15/50 is in wind-diesel systems where several wind turbines are installed to significantly reduce diesel consumption of diesel poAtlantic Orient Corproatior plants.The integrated gearbox and drive train and the fully enclosed generator provide protection from severe elements found in both tropical and Arctic environments. The AOC 15/50 is one of the lightest wind turbines in its class making it comparatively easy to deploy in hard to reach sites.Although rated at 50kW the AOC 15/50 is capable of up to 66kW maximum at 60Hz and 55kW maximum at 50Hz. The AOC 15/50 begins producing power in 11mph winds and produces rated power in winds between 24 and 30 mph.
