The Highest Purity: Air Expansion Technology

Cenefom offers CE certified medical-grade PVA sponge products, manufactured exclusively through air expansion technology. Air expansion PVA foam produces medical sponges of the highest possible purity, with proven advantages over competing products manufactured with PVA particle replacement process (which uses starch or cotton).

PVA sponges made through air expansion have strong porous structures with controllable pore sizes. Air expansion also produces pure, ultra-clean sponges without any residue. Unlike medical sponges made with organic materials such as cotton or starch, which are susceptible to bacteria growth, biocompatible PVA sponges are inorganic, fiber-free and sterile.

Manufacturing medical-grade PVA foam through air expansion is an extremely difficult process.
