There is the potential for increase to at leastfive per cent (5%) by the year 2017 and ten per cent (10%) by theyear 2020, and also the capability to create as much as threemillion jobs - direct and indirect by the year 2017.More so, forty four (44) solid minerals are found in commercialquantity and are spread across the 36 States of the Federation. Outof these, seven (7) strategic solid minerals are being prioritizedand promoted for private sector participation and investment by theFederal Government of Nigeria.
