Hoa Phat Group is one of the leading private groups in Vietnam for industrial production. Starting with a construction machine trading company in August 1992, Hoa Phat has gradually extended its business to trading and manufacturing of Furniture (1995), Steel Pipe(1996), Steel (2000), Refrigeration (2001) and Real Estate (2001). In 2007, such businesses HOA PHAT TRADING COMPANY LIMITEDre restructured into a Group, in which Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company is the parent company and each of the subsidiaries is in charge of one or several relevant businesses. On 15th November 2007, Hoa Phat was officially listed on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange with the stock ticker HPG.

After the restructure, Hoa Phat has boosted in growth. The most prominent progress was the installation of Hoa Phat steel integrated complex project in Hai Duong province. The factory employs high technology steel production from iron ore. In parallel, Hoa Phat has invested in iron ore mining to create a full circle of production from iron ore to steel. Recently, Hoa Phat is ranked at Top 3 of the largest steel producers in Vietnam.

As at January 2012, Hoa Phat Group has 11 subsidiaries doing Steel production - Mining - Coke production - Real estate - Furniture manufacturing - Construction materials in Ha Noi, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, HCM City, and Binh Duong province.

Construction steel and complementary products such as coke, iron ores account for over 80% of the Group's revenue while Hoa Phat Furniture is also a prestigious brand with the largest market share in office furniture in Vietnam. Besides, real estate and industrial park development are growth sectors of the Group.

The annual revenue of Hoa Phat Group has reached USD 900 million and is expected to increase to USD 1.2 billion by 2014.
