INTRODUCTION AND COMPANY PROFILEHonduras Mahogany Tree Plantation has been in the industry since 1992,today he planted 80,000 trees consisting of mahogany but also has 3,000 teak trees and a sprinkling of mabolo(Kamagong or Ebony Woods), Acacia mangium,Narra,jackfruit and Caimito for biodiversity.Location is in Umingan Pangasinan with 60 hectares and with 17 full-time workers attending the plantation trees. To make user that his trees are properly established,he grows the seedlings to 5-6 feet before they are xxxxx are meticulously cared of.When they are planted in the ground,holes that are at least 19 inches deep and 19 inches in diameter are made.Presently the heights of the trees range from one to thirteen meters. The diameter range is from one to eleven inches. The project goal is to plant and maintain 147,581 trees in the total 59.0325 hectares property. it expects to accomplish that by planting 2,500 trees per hectare. It maintains a spacing of two meters betHONDURAS MAHOGANY TREE PLANTATIONen trees. As of Jan 1 2005, the total number of trees planted on a 43.83-hectare property is 109,579 trees. The total number of trees to be planted on the remaining 15.20-hectare property is 38,002 trees. The project proponents prepare all seedlings for future planting to ensure good quality planting stock. The nursery maintains an average of 100,000 seedlings at all times. Other agricultural operations involve land preparation, fertilizing,watering,weed control,and xxxxx maintenance and development include pruning,fire protection and prevention,and administrative management. The properties of the project are all private agricultural lands under the Agrarian Reform Program. These properties are covered by Certificates of Title,under the names of different individuals,Special Power of Attorneys and Deed of Assignments.
