We started to discuss what we could do to change it and here is the answer we came up with: Negotiate good pricing directly with the manufacturer Import directly from the country of origin Get dealers in as many countries as possible to buy in bulk No expensive Newspaper and TV ads Use modern technology like the Internet, email and SMS to reach the customer Allow people to pay with Mpesa instead of bank transfer or credit card. Deliver directly to the customers doorstep The big question was: Is Africa ready for this way to do business? Well what better way to find out than to actually walk the talk…..
