Minerali Industriali Srl is an Italian supplier of raw materials for the glass and ceramic industries.
Minerali Industriali Srl have mines and processing plants of raw materials for the glass industry (silica sands, feldspathic sands, feldspars), in Italy, Tunisia, Egypt, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, UK, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia.
Our main customers in the glass market are Owens Illinois, Pilkington, Saint Gobain, Guardian, AGC, Schott, Zignago Vetro, Bormioli, Borgonovo, Sangalli Group, Murano's factories, etc
We produce silica sands for float glass and container glass (flint, extra flint and Crystal glass). These sands have an iron content below 250, 150, 120 and 40 ppm.
At the moment, our best production of Silica sand is Bianco Neve type with an iron oxide content below 40 ppm; this value can be further reduced with specific leaching treatment below 20 ppm.
With Bianco Neve sand it is possible to realize a product similar to Cristobalite.
