After independence finding the textile branch became one of priority branches of Turkmenistan economy. Now in its structure more than 60 enterprises for manufacture of cotton yarn, production of various kinds of fabrics, a knitted cloth and ready garments, silk processing enterprises, shoe factories and tanneries are operated.On the basis of the commissioned objects jointly with foreign companies the joint ventures where due to the organization of up-to-date management and marketing the output meeting to the world standards is created. Now 90 percents of made textile production are exported to the USA, Canada, Russia, countries of Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistastern Europe, Turkey, Hungary, Baltic States, Ukraine and other countries.The increasing demand for produced cotton yarn of various numbers, fabrics, a knitted cloth and ready garments is caused by their high quality corresponding to the international standards.Now the textile industry of Turkmenistan is one of the most dynamically developing branches of national economy.For the last few years in textile branch the stable high rates of manufacture at level 15-20 percent are provided in a year.
