Tarend was established in 1981, with the name of Tarimsan, as a family-owned company in Izmir, Turkey. It has manufactured mechanical sizers and packing systems, only for citrus fruit, in its earlier years. In 1996, company has been changed from proprietorship to limited company and its name has changed to Tarend Ltd. From the day the company has been established, Tarend invested large amount of its income on Research and Development.
