The Center of Advanced Biological Technologies, or CABT for short, is a scientific and technologic center, organized by a group of scientists from the Institute of Genetics & Plant Physiology of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.The Center of Advanced Biological Technologie carrying out orders for next products and services;1. Viable one year Rhodiola rosea L. rhizomes from generatively and in vitro propagated plants of Carpathian, Altai and Ural origin for organizing artificial plantations and reintroduction. Biological and agrotechnical conditions for their cultivation were elaborated. The authenticity of species, physiological characteristics and chemical analysis of secondary metabolites from R. rosea roots and rhizomes of different genotypes were provided.2. The preparation Reglalg, which represent a natural plant growth regulator (PGR) extracted from algae was elaborated. The biological activity of Reglalg is based on stimulation of the development root system; augmentation (conditioning) of plant capacity to form systemic acquired resistance (SAR). Its potential practical use against abiotic and biotic stress is presently studied. Actually it is certified for utilization in Moldovan agriculture for treating seeds before sowing and plants during vegetation. Is compatible with organic agriculture. Its utilization for treatment of grapevine and cucumber plants during vegetation assures their protection from fungal pathogens.3. Propagated in vitro plantlets of valuable variety of Actinidia kolomikta;4. Proanthocyanidins and developed innovative method for their obtaining from waste products of wine industry. Proanthocyanidins are flavonoids which are widely distributed in vegetative objects. They are the most active natural antioxidants. Regarding this parameter they surpass vitamins C and E. Proanthocyanidins are expressing their biological and pharmacological activity as quiescent of free radicals. One of the richest sources of proanthocyanidins are seeds of a grapes vine. Annually in Moldova are formed 200000 tons of waste products of the wine industry. They practically are not used for additional processing, though the processing of waste products for obtaining of proanthocyanidins could augment their cost in 30 times.
