3D Ortholine is a company funded in 2006, which is dedicated to providing dentists and orthodontists in the Middle East region with state of the art, latest orthodontic treatment modalities. The company is based in Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates and is specialized in three specific fields, namely: 1) Virtual Setups. To help the dentist better decide on a modality of treatment, a virtual setup, or several setups if necessary, are made of the treatment plan proposed by the dentist, and this simulation of treatment is presented to him through video files and static images. 2) Aesthetic aligners. Using 3D soft/hard wares, the proposed treatment plan of the dentist is used to fabricate a series of clear, plastic sheets. 3) Lingual Orthodontics. Transfer tray is custom fabricated for every case, to ease placement of lingual brackets. Along with that 3D Ortholine supplies the arch wire template which is designed using 3D softwares for the different stages of the treatment. In 2010 3D Ortholine utilized its expertise in the field of dental laboratory and 3D technology to launch a new department �3D Dentoline� which was equipped with cutting edge laboratory equipments to provide dentists in Middle East with the highest quality of dental appliances and prosthesis. 3D Ortholine team members - which consist of 27 colleagues in total 14 of them are specialized in technical part which 4 are devoted to research and development - assisted us to start from the top and create a strong base to develop our services and quality of our work. Furthermore, 3D Ortholine started to provide our valuable clients new service like 3D hard/soft wares solutions as well as dental and orthodontics smart materials and tools by representing international high quality companies like: 1 � Essix � from DENTSPLY: Smart dental and orthodontic products. 2 � Maestro � from AGE SOLUTIONS: 3D dental scanners as well as CAD and simulation softwares. 3 � Snap dental: Powerful educational/simulation software The development is still on going to improve our services and products in all aspects in a continuous pursuing of our goals in establishing a research center to perform more studies in the field of dental technology, expand the limitations and explore the horizon of this field hoping that Ajman University for Science and technology will be our partner to achieve our goals.
