The Association of Biomass Manufacturers and Consumers is a nonprofit seeking organization (ABMC) which promotes the use of renewable resBiomass manufacturers and consumers associatioces for energy production at the national and international level. The Association represents its members/biomass producers in dealing with business development, process management, advanced technology introduction, product quality (standardization), marketing and policy issues.ABMC consists of 21 members operating in biomass collection, transportation, storage, processing, and coordination to the end user. The Association cooperates closely with state agencies, scientists, representatives of energy and agriculture, keeps to the latest local and international trends in the biomass segment, and encourages implementing innovations in the Lithuanian energy sector.The Association of Biomass Manufacturers and Consumers is a unifying force, open to all natural and legal persons who seek to develop the biomass collection and processing and biofuel production activities. Replacement of conventional energy sources by biomass or other renewable energy sources helps to reduce energy dependence on expensive imported fossil fuels, solve environmental pollution and sustainable development issues, promote local industrial development, and cut unemployment.
