The device incorporates a transformerless poEcoamica Technologies LLPr supply design to power up an amplifier and a signal comparator IC which activates a relay whenever there is a differential change in IR signature. This provides convenience by turning lights or any other household fixture connected to it automatically when someone passes through the sensor's field of view.
It is proven that the device reduces electricity costs in residential and commercial establishments by upto a highest of 47% to 60% in restrooms and a lowest of 17% to 29% in break rooms[1].
