Company Description

ELASTIK ORME SANAYI VE TICARET A. S. Was founded in 1968, in Istanbul. Its primary aim at foundation, was to produce the then highly demanded and locally unavailable elastic poELASTiK ORME SANAYi VE TiCARET A.S.r nets for the springing shapewear and bra industry.
The company started with a single Rachel type warp knitting machine and a small warper, and in due time expanded its machine park to a total of 19 Karl Mayer machines of various types. Certainly, within this period of time, Elastik Orme widened its range of products by producing other kinds of warp- knit fabrics, as demanded both by the underwear and outer wear fashion trends. Such fabrics include: Elastic and non-elastic net, net with and without elastane, net for embroidery, fabrics for swimwear, Greek net, muss net, etc.

As Elastik Orme has been involved as a major provider of the elastic warp knitted fabrics for more than 35 years, the greatest asset that differentiates the company from all others, is the accumulation of a vast amount of experience and know-how in its field. Thus the technical team has been successful in designing and developing totally new fabrics of innovative construction; by modifying standard machinery.

Since the beginning of the year 2003, Elastik Orme has started a restructuring in the form of vertical integration, by starting to manifacture shapewear of various models, under its own registered brand name GILA. GILA, with its innovative leg formulation, adjusts itself to the shape and size of the leg, preventing any discomfort that may be caused by the traditional elastic band used in the leg. Thus, the wearer feels more comfortable and freer, while painlessly getting into shape! GILA, with its both traditional and young models appeals to women of all ages.

Elastik Orme s sister companies, owned by the same group, manufacture all varieties of lace, jersey, etc. As well as production and export of ladies underwear, bras, nightwear, etc. Another sister company is a modern and fully equipped continuous-process dyeing plant. Being involved in the field of textiles as Elastik Orme, is a big advantage as this aspect gives both flexibility and power in creativity, and timing.
