EVERGREEN CROPS LTD was formed in 2010 on the beautiful plains of Athi River on the edge of the famous mighty Athi River and is specialized in growing and exporting fresh herbs to the European and world markets. The herbs that are currently being grown and exported are Chives, Tarragon and Basil. The area under cultivation now is Ten hectares and the acreage is constantly being expanded to cater for the ever growing demand. The herbs are grown under extremely high quality standards using the latest in water irrigation technology and highest cleanliness and hygiene standards. The Company has also been certified with GLOBAL GAP which are the European Union farming regulations. GLOBAL GAP standard is primarily designed to reassure consumers about how food is produced on the farm by minimizing detrimental environmental impacts of farming operations, reducing the use of chemical inputs and ensuring a responsible approach to worker health and safety as Evergreen Crops Limitedll as animal welfare. To enable the crops to be grown under the best growing conditions the farm treats its irrigation water with Reverse Osmosis giving the crops the purest conditions for growing. The farm is managed by several leading experts in crop growing and protection including a leading herbs consultant from Israel. The growing and post harvest are done under supervision of a team fully trained under the guidance of the Consultant.
