Company Description

General Petroleum Ltd., UAE is a fully owned subsidiary of the General Petroleum Group, which came into existence as Pir Baba Ltd. in 1967 for trading of automotive spares and parts from Europe to Asia. In the eighties, it expanded its automotive operations to cover Far East and the Middle East, before diversifying into automotive lubricants with the launch of their GENERAL brand in the nineties. The Company expanded its operations to Africa in early 2000.

Currently General Petroleum Group is having thirty five offices and branches covering its operations in Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australia. Its Global Head Quarters and regional offices for Europe are based in Frankfurt, Germany, while its Middle East, Asia and Africa headquarters is in the UAE.

The company exports its lubricant products to more than thirty five countries worldwide. Its comprehensive range of world-class lubricants deliver the performance needed in every application, including the most demanding and capital intensive, where leading edge lubrication technology is vital.

The Company lubricating oils are manufactured to standards meeting API (AMERICAN PETROLEUM INSTITUTE) and SAE (SOCIETY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERS) requirements, blended at ISO certified plants.
