A Serendipitous Beginning-
Two young men, freshly graduated from Business School, Maskot Internationalre entertaining another friend, a visitor from East Africa, with home delivered pizzas. "You know" said their guest "my father needs 1 million corrugated boxes like these a year, which he imports. "
That chance remark got our two enthusiastic young men all fired up. They formed a partnership venture and set about learning the ropes. Sourcing the raw material, importing some key items, manufacturing, packing, shipping. . . . . . until they became fully conversant with all the pros and cons of import and export.
One thing led to another and soon the firm-Maskot-was importing and exporting products from and to Europe, U. S. A and Africa.
While Pizzas remain their favourite snack, they never did export a single corrugated cardboard carton to East Africa!
