MEGA Fishing Corporation (MFC) is a commercial deep-sea purse seine fishing company based in Zamboanga City, ehich has experience in fishing for more than 30 years. MFC is able to develop market niche in the Southern part of the Philippines. Moreover, it supplies to the other parts of Mindanao's fresh fish requirements.
MFC owns five sets of commercial deep-sea purse seiners totaling 55 fishing vessels. The vessels are fully equipped with high-tech sonar fish finders to have the competitive edge of locating more fish. Furthermore, MFC has its own 175 meters marginal wharf, dry-docking and repair facilities; a 360 tons ice plant (considered as the biggest in the whole Mindanao) and 600 metric tons cold storage plant. A modern steam dry fishmeal plant and high-tech sardines canning plant, which are all located in Zamboanga City. MFC adheres to the notion of a re-engineered and high-performance company to produce distinct and unique products.
MFC though its own canning factory, Ayala Seafoods Corporation, started its own brand MEGA Sardines. Each Mega Sardines product is guaranteed for its high quality freshness because it takes less than 12 hMEGA FISHING CORPORATIONs from "Catching to Canning". The freshness ensures the potency of Omega 3 oil, naturally present in sardines, which lowers blood cholesterol levels.
MFC is able to introduce to the local market the very first in the world, MEGA Sardines in Handy Pouch-a premium quality product at an affordable price. It is very well received not only in the Philippines, but also in other countries threby expanding the business through export. This is also available in institutional packages of 500g, 1 KG and 2 KG.
