MineralShop International Company can afford to get distracted by something shiny. In fact, it's counting on it. The company emerged in 2009 from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and changed its name from Apex Silver Mines. Though it sold what had been its primary asset, the San Cristobal silver mine in southern Bolivia, MineralShop Internationalowns several other properties in Argentina, Mexico, and Peru, where it continues to explore for other minerals. The company is ramping up and expanding its production at the Velardena and Chicago mines in Mexico and is in the advanced evaluation stage at its El Quevar project in Argentina. It also has a joint venture with Golden Tag ResMineralShop Internationalces in Cameroon
