Myung IL Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., was established in 1989, started manufacturing a traveling toMyung Il Precition Machinery Co.Ltdr crane in 1994 for the first time in Korea, and produced a self elevating platform barge for search of submarine ground in 1998. Their superior performance and reliability have been proven at various submarine ground surveys and constructions of sea structures, bridges and harbors
Since more focus is placed on the sea than ever together with the development of social structure, there is sufficient demand for barges required for the survey of submarine ground (self elevating platform type) and maritime construction (jack-up barge). Accordingly, we produces, sells and lends a professional submarine ground survey barge (self elevating platform, model: MI) which can satisfy various maritime conditions. We also manufactured a maritime construction barge (jack-up barge) of 3000 ton capacity which is currently used at various maritime construction sites.

The size of the Self Elevating Platform which is manufactured for various maritime experiments and submarine ground surveys is small, but the one for maritime structure, bridge and harbor construction is  medium- and large-sized.

Someone refers to the self elevating platform as a jack-up barge, but its international standard name is a self elevating platform.

The small-sized self elevating platform is used for wide range of water depth from 1m to 40m for the bridge or harbor construction on the sea or on an in-land waterway, river or lake.  

The medium and large-sized self elevating platform is usually produced by attaching 4 spuds to a poon toon barge, and used in the water depth range from 3m to 60m.
