Nora de Saint Picman visual artist, works as a painter, graphic designer, sculptor and video artist. With specific accentuated graphic line of figurative and decorative compositions she started from german expressionism, simbolism as well as surrealism, in the postmodern mixture of different technical approaches and materials..( photography, collage, glass, ceramics, polyester...). The main content of her work are people and their intimate relationships, man-woman, mother-child, etc...In the early works, the relations are more erotic, painfull, destructive ( Saloma; a group of ten a human size black polyester sculptures, realized for a theatre play Explosion of memory by Eduard Mueller). In the serie of urban interventions, the polyester sculpture The sarcophage for immortal love has been, during one action in 1990, put in front of FIAC entry in Paris. But gradually those researches of somehow basical human questions, seen through a perspective of byblical themes became softened and acquainted with meditative poetical approach and eastrern ritual and the serie of fifteen polyester Pretressess ( human size woman Bouddhas...) was installed in Kongresni trg in Ljubljana, in 1997. After 1997, there is also some return towards classical oil big size paintings, with thick expressive impresionistic matter, of flowers or a paysage motifs in the pleinairistic manner, and after 2000, to collage, photography and again figurative, more graphical work, but there is also some omnipresent poetic lettristic element. Photography and collage became more important, as well as purely compositional approach and more urban influenced work (Quelques regards sur Paris, 2003, china ink drawings, Collages Impressions de Bruxelles, from 2007). Last plastic visual works are mainly photography-based collages, of her own or her familly, worked and after designed on the computer, finnaly printed on a mirror or metal surface. ( a serie of sleeping children, autoportraits, mixture of urban exteriors or cafe's interior..., a textes wroten onto...The fountain of vow, Les lustres...)
