JSC "Polotsk-Steklovolokno" was founded in 1958 to develop and bring fresh and innovative approach to production of glass fiber and materials on its base. Today the company is one of the leading manufacturers of glass fiber based materials in the world. This is a modern, dynamically developing industrial complex with an area of 1 million square meters holding more than a thousand units of state-of-the-art equipment. The team of 4.5 thousand highly qualified employees strives to meet or exceed customers' needs and expectations.

As an integrated enterprise it has a perfect mix of modern technologies. It unites in a uniform complex the technological processes of raw materials preparation, glass melting, forming of glass fiber and its textile processing, finishing treatment of glass fabrics and production of glass reinforced plastics (GRPs). The focus of the company's business is to manufacture products on the basis of various kinds of glasses, i.e. alumoborosilicate "E" glass, silica glass, and high-strength "S-2" glass. The product portfolio includes electric insulation glass fabrics, building materials (i.e. glass fabrics and meshes), silica materials (i.e. glass fabrics, meshes, fiber and ready-made articles), fabrics for GRPs, thermal insulation materials, glass yarns, rovings, hollow fiber and fabrics on their basis, chopped fiber and glass plastic articles.
