They have been associated or served with institutes/companies/multinationals like The Scripps Research Institute (USA), University of Cambridge (UK), IIT-Bombay (India), Novartis (Switzerland), Naval Research Lab (Washington *****, USA) Abbott Molecular diagnostics, Illumina (USA), Genomic Solutions (UK), Bio-Rad (USA), Ranbaxy (India) and Xerox (India) Ltd. Mission The mission of the company is to be a partner of choice in providing cloning, expression and protein purification services (lab scale to gm level) in the life sciences arena. The activities currently ongoing in the company include: 1. Contract Research Services; Contract Research Services focusing on a) Novel Vector construction & Cloning and expression, b) Protein purification c) Protocol/process development for protein scale up d) Cell based Assay Development e) Preparation of genomic and cDNA libraries f) Real time PCR studies and g) Bioinformatics. 2. Contract Manufacturing Services; a) Production and supply of proteins, enzymes, receptors etc., for preclinical material, b) protocol & process development, c) purification and lyophillization. The company has a cGMP facility with a capacity for protein and enzyme manufacturing of upto 1400 litres from ***** and yeast cells, along with continuous high speed and ultra centrifuges, high pressure homogenizers, purification and downstream equipments for large scale work, TFF system, etc. 3. Business Development; Business Development is focused on sales and marketing of Life Science products from reputed high end drug discovery companies and principals. Technologies The company is currently focused on and in the process of filing patents for the following technologies; a) Cloning vectors b)Vectors for expression in yeast system. Currently working on the expression of drug metabolism enzymes that will be ready by Q3 2008. c) Development of a reporter gene assay to determine angiogenic potential of unknown compounds. d) Development of a reporter gene assay for heavy metal detection in any form of samples. c) Genomic DNA isolation kit for tough cell walled organisms such as plants, bacterial (Mycobacterium sp), yeast, etc. d) Molecular Diagnostic technology for Infectious Diseases, current focus:- Mycobacterium tuberculosis, M. bovis, M. avium, HBV, HCV. e) Functional genomics technology for identification of novel bio-therapeutics from bio-resources.
