David Ige serves as the NNPC Group Executive Director for Gas and PoR.N IWOLLO NIGERIA LTDr. Prior to his appointment as Group Executive Director, Dr Ige was a Group General Manager/Senior Technical Adviser to the Group Managing Director of NNPC. He was also an Adviser to the Honourable Minister for Petroleum Resources and was Acting Managing Director of the Gas Aggregation Company of Nigeria (GACN). Before joining the NNPC, Dr ge was the first Nigerian in the history of the Shell Group to be employed for international operations within the Shell Group as a Petroleum Engineer. In 2000, he joined Accenture Global Energy Practice, London as a Strategy Manager; where he led various consulting engagements with oil and gas clients in Norway, USA, UK and Angola. Dr Ige current role is to strategically grow the Gas and Power Directorate from its current revenue base to $1bn over the next five years; as well as the on-going implementation of the Nigerian Gas Master-Plan which encompasses the delivery of gas to the power sector, delivery of the President’s Gas Revolution Agenda and to consolidate Nigeria’s position and market share in high value export markets. Dr Ige holds a PhD in Engineering from Cambridge University UK, an MBA from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland and graduated with First Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.([email protected] +234 9073360484
