BackgroundRoss Breeders Zambia has been in operation since April 2000 whenthe core business was primarily the production of Ross Day OldChicks at Ross Breeders Zambia hatchery in Chongwe, Zambia. Over the last 16 yearswe have undergone an aggressive expansion program including agrandparent breeder operation in Mazabuka where we hatch Parent DayOld Chicks. Approximately 50% of this product is exported to ourcustomers throughout Africa.Own Parent FlockOur own parent flock requirements are placed at our breeder farm inChongwe where broiler day old chicks are hatched and distributedthroughout Zambia and neighboring countries.Own Stock FeedTo secure our stock feed requirements, we launched our feed brand ,“Nutrifeeds” , situated on the Great East road from where weproduce all our breeder feed and broiler feed requirements as wellas selling feed through outlets (agents and depots) throughoutZambia, with occasional exports to neighbouring countries.SUPREME CHICKENIn August 2015, we launched Supreme Abattoir at Mimosa Farm,Lusaka. This state of the art processing plant produces a widerange of world class chicken products under the umbrella brand nameof “Supreme Chicken” which are being sold country wide.
