snakebyte holding, new developer and provider of consumer electronics for the international games industry, launched by investor group headed by Mike SteupJune 12th, 2014 A group of investors headed by Mike Steup (founder of Sunflex) has today announced the incorporation of snakebyte holding Ltd., with headquarters in Hong Kong. Fsnakebyte europe GmbH companies that specialise in producing and releasing hardware and software products in the gaming market will be operating under the name snakebyte holding Group.
The service portfolio will extend in particular to the areas of distribution, OEM and software development. Apart from maintaining operations in the US and Europe, one of the key goals of the holding is to open up the Asian market.
The four enterprises in the holding include snakebyte technologies Ltd. (Hong Kong), which will focus on software, and snakebyte asia Ltd. (Shenzhen), focusing on production, sales and marketing. The company quartet is rounded off by snakebyte Europe GmbH (Dortmund), which will take care of hardware, sales and marketing for the European market, and snakebyte usa LLC (San Diego), which will control sales and marketing in North America.
Sunflex USA LLC has already been taken over by the snakebyte group as part of an overall transaction volume of around USD 18.5 million, and with the available new liquid assets, snakebyte also plans to partially take over assets of the insolvent Sunflex Europe GmbH along with its entire workforce.
"With our current round of financing we have laid down a stable foundation for future growth. This puts the snakebyte Group in a position to operate globally and, in particular, to extend the areas of product development and international sales," says Mike Steup, Managing Director and spokesperson for snakebyte holding.
In Germany, just as in other key markets in Europe and the USA, sales will be made directly through its own sales team. In Asia the holding plans to achieve growth in cooperation with other partners
