With this letter, Sofia Mel would like to acquaint our company to you and request a meeting regarding certain information on the milling and bread producing industries operating in your area. Sofia Mel S.A is a producer and distributor of wheat flour consumer products from cereal grains. The mill in Sofia was built in 1986. It is the most modern in Bulgarian the largest mill in Bulgaria as well as the only one operating in the Bulgarian capital, situated in a 50.000 m² plot just 2 km. away from the center of Sofia. The manufacturing of the mill was designed and executed by the renowned Swiss firm Buehler, which also supplied the entire mechanical equipment. The complex of the mill consists of three independent production lines, equipped with similar grinding processes and a total capacity of 750tn/24hours. The wheat silos are of a 40.000tn capacity and the ready products silos have a capacity of 11.000tn. In addition, the mill is equipped with a loading-unloading option onto and out of railway wagons with two privately-owned locomotives serving the internal network of the mill. Our fully equipped, with Brabender apparatus, Quality Control Dept. is continuously ensuring the quality and liability of our products with analyses performed from the early stage of the delivered wheat, throughout the entire production process and until the ready product.
