Extracted from the south face of one of the five world's most dangerous volcanoes located on the Apennine Peninsula; Characterised by high resistance to sharp temperature changes – it does not crack; Characterised by neutral composition – it does not give a distinctive smell or taste to dishes; Owing to its surface and carefully executed cut, the lava stone does not "save" smells of previous dishes; Easy to keep clean.
