Sumgait Textile is founded in 1976 and located in Azerbaijan Sumgait.
Sumgait is 20 km from Baku Airport away.
Our legal Company form is Stock Company and the General
Manager is Ms. Nazira K. Ahmadova.
we have 270 Employees working in our Company and 250 of them direct in the production.
In 2003 we have had a turnover of 500.000,-- USD.
The share of Exports is nearly 75 % and our Customer are located in Russia, Turkey, Iran, Czech Republic and in the end of 2003 we have also start to trade with some Companies in Europe.

The second great industrial city of Azerbaijan is Sumgait ? ?The City of Youth?. The foundation of Sumgait laid dovn in 1949, on the Caspian Seashore and ?The great silk way?. The great part of city industry is chemical produce production, espesially here the men are provided with job.

On honourable Heydar Aliyev`s initiative, the textile and light industrial enterprises had been built and made use of it with the purpose to increase the variety of city industry, to creat conditions for work, mainly for women in Sumgait. Including Volumetric Yarn factory was built and given for use in 1976 in Sumgait.

Raw materials and ready-made production
Our raw material is acrylic fibre which is taken from neutron rope. It consists of ethyl metan, propylen and other oil produces at present time, acrylic is the best synthetic yarn. According to outward appearance and some properties for elastic, out of chemical and bacteriological danger, thermal and electro-isolation characters. The yarn mixed with other pills is produced from acrylic 100% per cent, yarn, knitted fabric, diffirent textiles are used in production. Acrylic rope is brought as raw material from Belorussian. Acrylic pile gets from english ?Courtaulds? and italian ?SNIA BPD? firms technology.
