TAVAR S.P.A.

Company Description

~~ For more than 60 years, Tavar has been manufacturing and marketing wooden flooring, creating innovative, high-quality, prestigious products. TAVAR S.P.A. experience, versatility, craftsmanship and professionalism are among the strengths that allow us to fulfil the requirements of all sectors of the market. These strengths come together to make a Tavar floor very much the \\\"Right Choice\\\".   Our history: Tavar is certainly not lacking experience, since we have been manufacturing wooden floors for more than 60 years. Initially, we focused almost exclusively on traditional, solid-wood flooring, but over the years the range has been expanded to include prefinished floors, with each product line being customised through the use of new species and new color and surface treatments. Indeed, the company pays a great deal of attention to the evolution of the market, and works hard to stay full in synch with the latest technical and aesthetic innovations; this allows us to meet the requirements of even the most exacting designers and end users. Tavar is based in Ravenna, near the Candiano canal harbour. Here, the company has an extensive (22,000 m2) facility located on a 100,000 m2 site, which plays host not only to the manufacturing plant but also to the executive offices, the brand new showroom and the warehouses. Creating floors that will be laid around the world: The unrivalled quality of its production standards and the experience it has accumulated over the decades combine to make Tavar a go-to company for major projects in Italy and further afield. A list of its completed projects confirms the capacity and versatility of the company, which has the craftsmanship to restore famous historic palazzos to their ancient splendour, as well as the technological understanding to enable it to lay secure floors in sites with very high traffic flows. A salient example of the high esteem in which Tavar\\\'s is held is provided by its involvement in the renovation of La Scala opera house in Milan. The renovation project, designed by celebrated architect Mario Botta, saw Tavar participate in the reconstruction of the flooring of the stalls, the lower stalls, the boxes, the circle and twenty rooms of the opera house\\\'s Museum. Tavar\\\'s experience also takes in work on other famous cultural sites, including the renowned Capodimonte Museum in Naples, the Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery in Rome, and certain parts of the monumental complex of the Kremlin in Moscow. Recently, the list has been extended with the addition of the Sanctuary of San Pio da Pietrelcina at San Giovanni Rotondo, designed by Renzo Piano, and the Nuovo Polo di Fiera Milano, designed by Massimiliano Fuksas, where Tavar was responsible for the flooring of the Auditorium, the meeting rooms and the conference halls, accounting for an area of 10,000 m2 in total. Morevoer, the Marco Polo Airport in Venice also features Tavar flooring in the most prestigious spaces and those with the greatest traffic flows, thereby meeting the design requirements of architect Gian Paolo Mar. Last but not least, Tavar also supplied the surface for the outdoor walkway of the historic Porto Canale at Cesenatico, designed by Leonardo da Vinci five centuries ago, and for the external areas of the Ippodromo del Savio at Cesena.
