Viking Pulp and Paper Mill was founded in Aliaga/Izmir at 1969. It was started with the production of machine glazed (MG) wrapping, printing, and laminating paper with a capacity of 13.500 tons/year in 1977 Viking Paper participated in the structure of Yasar Group in 1982 has the quality of "The First Private Paper Factory in Turkey". It has made the investments with Yasar Group&＃039;s continous development philosophy, and increased its capacity up to 20.500 tons/year, in 1984. Viking Paper&＃039;s 33% of shares has been sold in Capital Markets and 67% of the shares has kept at Yasar Group after year 1994. Viking Paper is producing semi-semi finished paper to the industrial sector with a continuously developing graphic of 34 years, completed its modernization studies in 1995 and later aimed at developing its horizon with its new development policies and paid attention to the poViking Paperrful future and entered tissue paper sector in 1996. In that sector, Viking presented toilet paper, paper towel, napkin and facial tissue under "Lily" and "Senso" brands to the use of final consumers and "Select" brand to the use of away from home channel. Thus, it stepped on the way of obtaining more powerful place in tissue paper market of Turkey. Viking Paper is accepting customer focusing as main feature, gained the right to take "ISO 9001 Quality System Certificate" in 1997. By qualified production, Viking became the first foundation that gets ISO 9001 Quality System Certificate from a foreign establishment, in tissue paper sector. Quality System Certificate was renewed in year 2003 by its new version of ISO 9001-2000. Viking Paper increased its capacity to 45.000 tons/year with 2nd Paper Machine realized in 1999 and also increased its assertion in the sector by means of converting facility of tissue paper at the beginning of 2003. With the increase in production capacity by new investments, Viking Paper will go on presenting more qualified products.
