EECP/ECP therapy is a unique non-invasive and adjunctive therapy for treating angina patients who have been refractory to medical therapy and may not be candidates for invasive procedures due to co-morbid disease, incomplete revascularizations or inappropriate anatomical reasons. It is a Natural Bypass that provides you with an option to treat patients these patients who might not otherwise have a chance of achieving a better symptom free, quality of life. In the U.S. EECP/ECP therapy is currently covered by Medicare and most private insurance companies for the treatment of Class II and IV Angina. In many cases, EECP/ECP should be considered as an alternative treatment to Angioplasty (PTCA) or Bypass surgery (CABG). There are currently over 190 publications, most in peer-reviewed medical journals, describing the outcomes and mechanisms of action for EECP/ECP therapy. Based on the clinical evidence many countries (currently around 30) have introduced EECP/ECP into practice in either hospitals, clinics or private offices.
