AAR ACTION-A BRIEF HISTORY AAR Action formerly Africa Air Rescue was formed 25 years ago with the initial purpose of providing medical rescue and evacuation services to tAAR Actionists visiting Kenya. Over the years the business evolved and gave birth to AAR Holdings which owns 4 subsidiaries that provide end to end healthcare solutions from rescue and evacuation to clinical operations and health insurance. AAR is East Africa’s largest healthcare solutions provider with over 200, 000 people enjoying its services throughout the region. AAR Action is East Africa’s premier emergency services provider. Ours is an elaborate air and road rescue service. Rescue activities are co-ordinated and carried out by a team of professionals operating from a fleet of Ground and Air ambulances to provide specialised care during medical emergencies. Our Mobile Casualty Units are on standby 24hours a day. These are critical care ambulances fully equipped to deal with emergency medical conditions of the most extreme nature. A team of highly dedicated doctors and paramedics specialised in trauma and emergency medical care man these ambulances. A backup team of professionals in pre-hospital care manages our emergency call centre around the clock and provides our members with emergency medical advice where necessary. Our “raison d’etre” or rallying cry “IT’S A MATTER OF LIFE” defines our existence.
