In 2005, Amity moved into the healthcare sector by developing several patented technologies in the area of High Level Disinfection (HLD) for instruments, surfaces & the environment. These proved to be so good they have re-written the rules for EN standards in contact time, efficacy, and how the products destroy and not just in-activate microbials. These initial products led to the development of the healthcare range. Amity is accredited to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 (Medical Devices Directive). Amity’s High Level Disinfectants are CE Marked (CE 0120). Hence all of the claims have been audited and verified by independent microbiologists from Amity Limited notified body SGS United Kingdom Limited.
