AMMANN has been created in Switzerland by Messrs Karl Flubacher andErnst AMMANN at beginning of the 20th century, exactly in 1900, asa family firm being in charge of manufacturing and marketing ofcurling ribbons called “Bolduc”, cotton and gelatine based product,an item one hundred percent natural and ecological.During the years, AMMANN became one of the most importantmanufacturers of “Bolduc” ribbons of the Continent withmanufacturing sites in Switzerland, France and Germany.From this natural cotton and gelatine based product, the techniquehas evolved to plastic, polypropylene, an ecological and recyclingsynthetic material.In view of the favAMMANN SANDERable economic conditions in Alsace after thesecond world war, the production was completely transfered in thisregion.
