Armenia Painting, new words in Ceramics.

Armenia Painting Studio use our invention to produce conceptually and technologically new ceramics, to our believe, without analogues elsewhere in the world.  

Passion, novel techniques and inspiration from Medieval Armenian Ceramic traditions, descending from Iznik, Kuthayia, Dvin, and Ani, gendered this new direction in art, a unique and unmatched performance with splendid complexities.

Our innovations go beyond the imagination of color application and design. Our dedication leads us to fashion a new ceramic art beyond established boundaries: Armenia Painting.  

Technology

The following art disciplines are implemented on ceramics:
- Painting,
- Drawing,
- O'fort,
- Sculpture

We develop different technical layers.  The first layer is Angoup (underglaze), the second one is Glaze.  Third to eight layers are based on our new invention that allows transforming the tile and stone surface into an offort (line) one.  The surfaces could be both semi glossy and muted.  

The tile surfaces are hand-painted.  The surfaces are water and heat resistant. We so far work on tiles of 10x10 sm to 40x40 sm in size.  Semi-precious stones, like obsidian, glass and other mediums are also used.  The kiln is fired up to the temperature of 1100 degrees centigrade.  The surface is glazed 2,3 times.  

Armenia Painting is currently sold mostly in the USA through 33 Wentworth Galleries.  We develop our sales network to bring Armenia Painting to the rest of the world.  We look into building mutually beneficial partnership with interested parties.
