Beckmanns honors include a grant from the Graham Foundation forAdvanced Studies in the Fine Arts (1998) and a McDoAXISMUNDI DESIGNll ColonyFellowship (2010). He both edited and contributed to TheVirtual Dimension: Architecture, Representation and CrashCulture (Princeton Architectural Press, 1998), one of thefirst books to grasp the implications of digital technologies onthe fields of architecture and design. Beckmann has also been avisiting critic at Yale School of Architecture, Pratt Institute andParsons the New School for Design, and he has been a featured gueston Bloomberg TV and LX-TVs Open House.
