The AZERSTAR Manufacturing and Trading Company is one of the largest national hazelnut processors and exporters. Led by the AZERSTAR founder, Ilham Isayev, a small shop has grown for several decades into a large company with the impressive export volume of more than 10,000 tonnes of finished products per year. Today, the geography of the company's deliveries includes the CIS countries and most European countries. AZERSTAR activity in actual figures AZERSTAR LLC have achieved high performances in the field, as we are into processing and exporting hazelnut for many years. Hazelnut comes in any possible form required by the end user: shelled nuts, crushed nuts, roasted nuts, blanched nuts and nut flour. Whereas high quality of products is confirmed by certificates, the company is better described by the figures: over 10 years of international market experience (overseas shipments since 2006); over 18 years of hazelnut large-scale production (factory in Zaqatala since 1998); up to 20 tons of shelled nuts per day (production capacity based on advanced equipment); 50 hectares of the company's hazelnut grows in Zaqatala; the team of 80 qualified processing, harvesting and exporting specialists; annual sales volume exceeded USD 20 mln in 2015. Today, we produce and export up to 25% of the total volume of Azerbaijani hazelnut. Our market share is growing yearly, since we are respected for both our good product and our reasoned system of values clear and close to anyone. Family values and common development strategy We process hazelnuts grown in the ecologically clean area of the North-Western Azerbaijan we all love since childhood. The factory employees control the quality of the product at all stages; the conditions of raw nuts cultivation are controlled as well. This is the key to our success. Such active cooperation with our friends, local farmers, has enabled us to become a significant player in the European market of peeled hazelnuts. The other side of our business is the effect of AZERSTAR on the environment and our native city in particular. Through our cooperation, our farmer partners have employed a large number of workers. As for us, we are not resting on our laurels; we are still doing very much today to be useful wherever possible: We systematically expand our sales area: Zaqatala hazelnut is already in the most EU countries' shops. We make important steps towards importers: in June, 2016, we have opened our warehouse in Europe. We take care of our city: we support farmers and help doing amenity planting in Zaqatala streets. We strictly control the compliance of our business management system with the international standards.
