Company Description

Botanical Insight is a South-African company based in Porterville, Botanical Insightstern-Cape, which is owned and managed by myself Riaan van der Walt. I was employed by CapeNature for eighteen years before I started an ethno botanical company. Botanical Insight is also an environmental consultancy for ethno botanical farming and specializes in Hoodia farming.
Botanical Insight was also contracted to harvest wild Hoodia for farmers with legal permits.
Of this wild Hoodia harvested by Botanical Insight there is only a limited 1100 KG left. Botanical Insight has the mandate to sell this wild Hoodia at 35 USD / KG FOB, Cape Town. This price is applicable only to the above quantity as all harvesting of wild Hoodia has been stopped in South Africa since 2008.
Botanical Insight has got 300 000 Hoodia gordonii plants under cultivation at two sites near Porterville. Botanical Insight can also source cultivated Hoodia from other growers in the area.
All Hoodia is grown according to organic principles. All documentation relating to the hoodia is available.
At present there is 4 000 KG dried, milled Hoodia available packed in oxygen free foil bags in 20 litre plastic drums. The price is 50 USD / KG FOB for cultivated Hoodia.
All prices are negotiable and Botanical Insight is seeking long term relationships with buyers.
