Company Description

Cellufuel OU is a company that has recently started the production of biomass pellets in Estonia. The company has a newly built biomass factory in Southern Estonia with the planned initial capacity of 40 000 tons of granulated biomass per year, able to produce substantially more than that if need should arise. The factory itself is built to be environmentally friendly: half of the energy needed for the production comes from burning locally produced biomass. A sister non-profit association is also in operation that supports the production company by doing the necessary research and development. Experiments are being conducted for improving the qualities of fuels of different composition, possibilities of using gasified biomass to directly produce electricity with internal combustion engines are also being researched. The raw materials vary in price and quality and so do the products - the options start with high quality and low ash pellets made from pure sawdust and end with pellets containing bark and forestry byproducts or pellets made from plant-derived agricultural residues with loCellufuel OUr cost per ton and megawatt, but somewhat higher ash content. The company is looking for business partners to market its products in big volumes and at highly competitive rates.
