Company Description

Contela is a wireless communication equipment manufacturer founded in March 2000. Contela's products include UMTS/CDMA based wireless communication equipment and peripherals.

Since 2002, Contela has developed and supplied to SK Telecom in Korea, the Wireless Office Solution ( WOS ), an all-IP cdma2000 wireless centrex system, as a flagship product. In 2002, Contela also made its entry into the global market. By delivering commercial solutions to KDDI beginning 2004, Contela has proven itself to be a global contender. Besides the WOS, Contela, which is the FMS leading company, is focusing on the Femtocell.

Contela has developed interworking solutions betContela Inc.en heterogeneous networks such as UMTS, cdma2000, Mobile WiMAX, and WiFi. In addition, Contela focused its efforts on the development of MSF (Media Independent Handover Service Framework), PDSN(Packet Data Service Node) and MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service)/BCMCS (Broadcast Multicast Services) solutions integral to multimedia services to create a momentum to spearhead convergence between wired/wireless, heterogeneous networks, or communication and mobile broadcasting in the future.
