Company Description

Cuulong Seaproducts Company (Cuulong Seapro) previously known as Marine Products Company. Through several name changes as Cuulong Purchasing - Processing - Exporting Company, Union of Seaproducts Factories of Cuulong, to 1992, it was renamed as Cuulong Seaproducts Company of Travinh province under Decision No 423/QD-UBT on Oct 22, 1992; issued by the People’s Committee of Travinh province. At that time, the Company had one processing factory with capacity of 1, 500 tons of finished products per year. In 2000, the company built and put into operation a new processing workshop No.II (EU code DL31). At that time, the production capacity of the company was raised to 4000 tons/year. The company has been able to process the value-added products, creating a turning point in the implementation of the target export turnover. Continuing to develop production and business, in 2003 the company built and put into operation the 300 ton of capacity cold storage, and at the same time renovating and upgrading the construction and processing machinery of workshop No. I (EU CODE DL326). The production capacity of the company increased to 6000 tons/year. Since then, the factory and machinery system has been improved to better meet the needs of customers and create stable developing step for the Company. The company has also developed and introduced the quality management system meets the requirements of food international standard HACCP, GMP, BRC (Global Standard for Food Safety), ISO 9001:2000. In the implementation of the policy on equitization of state-owned enterprise, Cuulong Seaproducts Company conducted equitization in July 2003. Early 2005 the company completed the process of equitization and was granted with the Business Registration Certificate on February 22, 2005 by Department of Planning and Investment of Travinh province. Cuulong Seaproducts Company has officially come into operation as a Joint stock company since March 15, 2005. In 2007 The company built and put into operation a new cold storage capacity of 1, 000 tons; bringing total capacity to 1, 500 tons of cold storage. Warehouse storage system always ensure the quality of finished products in accordance with standard quality control. In 2008 The company built and put into operation a new processing workshop No. III (EU CODE 326), specializing in processing value-added products. Production capacity of the company has increased to 10, 000 tons of finished products per year. Early 2009 the company upgraded the in-site lab facilities and was granted the certificate of accreditation ISO/IEC 17025 (Code: VILAS 365), and upgrade ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008. The processing plants of Cuulong Seapro are located in Travinh province, of Mekong Delta region. Located in the loCUULONG SEAPRODUCTS COMPANYr Mekong area, between Tien River and Hau River, with more than 65 km coastline bordering the East Sea, Tra Vinh province is rich in fishery resources, especially the farmed black tiger shrimp with farming area about 25, 000 ha water and crop yields reached more than 18, 000 tons/year. With its geographical location next to the main traffic road and waterway and about 30 kms far from the material area, Cuulong Seapro is most convenient to transport raw materials for processing and finished products for consumption as well.
