Company Description

Extrusal SA was established on May 31, 1972, specialized in the Extrusion of Aluminium Profiles, designed by Extrusals Technical Department, for Building and General Industry markets. Production began in 1974, but the rising demand for profiles led to the installation of two more presses, in 1978 and in 1983. A modern Anodizing line was installed in 1982 and certified by Qualanod in 1983. Also in 1982, Extrusal takes a big step towards environment protection. The company was one of the first industries to install its own Waste Water Treatment Plant. The automatic Powder Coating line was implemented in 1994 and certified by Qualicoat in 1995. Quality System certification was achieved first with ISO 9002 in 1997 and more recently environmental certification ISO 14001 in 2002 and ISO 9001:2000 in 2003. Company Overview Extrusal Plant is located in Aveiro (center of Portugal), with accessibility via Porto international airport, A1 Motorway or Aveiros harbExtrusal. With its 300 employees, the site has an area of 74000 m2 including: Extrusion Plant - 3 extrusion presses (1600 Ton, 1700 Ton, 2000 Ton) , Annual production = 12.000 Ton/year Anodising - 900.000 m2/year Powder-Coating - 1.600.000 m2/year Die shop - we produce our own die tools Transport company - Extrusal also has a truck fleet that can transport your material; Technical Centre - CAD/CAM technologies: Inventor, ME10, AutoCAD Support facilities - Laboratories, Maintenance, Administrative Machining operations to produce final assembly parts is performed in Guilpilhares Plant, 30 minutes drive from the main site. Profiles maximum dimension is approximately 220 mm (according the section design). Extrusal is also present abroad, supplying international companies in several countries including the Africa market.
