“Fair Trade Lebanon (جمعيةالتجارةالعادلة - لبنان) is the brainchild of a handful of Lebanese to change the lives of the most disadvantaged rural people of Lebanon. Having acknowledged that there is an infrastructure in areas of agricultural production underemployed and traditional know-how, they chose Fair Trade as a means to create export opportunities for small producers and cooperatives processing of these regions.Unfortunately, the Lebanese villages are full of culinary treasures that might fall into oblivion. Because of the war, but also the rural exodus, revenues are lost, and the culinary traditions as Fair Trade Lebanoll. Because of the economic situation, people, especially young people, leave their villages and the country.
