Flying Fish Hovercraft Ltd

Company Description

Flying Fish Hovercraft was formed in 2001 by Ivan Pullen, a hovercraft designer of over 20 years experience building personal hovercraft.Having manufactured and supplied over 500 hovercraft, the company is firmly established as almost the 'industry standard' in recreational hovercraft design with unrivalled experience in producing hovercraft to an extremely high standard, in considerable numbers. In 2006, Flying Fish discontinued use of noisy two-stroke engines to concentrate their development on the Briggs & Stratton Vanguard 'commerical' engines. this immediately translated into excellent sales as the engines provided hovercraft with amazing yet quiet performance, 25mpg economy and astonishing reliability.

with Ivan retiring from day to day running over the business in 2012, this family run business has passed to his son Russ Pullen and Russ's wife Emma. The fresh burst of passion and enthusiasm has driven on more development and refinements to the hovercraft range -- as Flying Fish Hovercraft Ltdll as thoroughly modernising the company with a new website, Online ordering, new products and a move to a 10,000sq ft (1000sq metre) factory, the company has undergone massive changes but retains it core values of great value hovercraft that work beautifully and look great!

The team at Flying Fish have huge experience in personal hovercraft between them, having raced, cruised, raided, built, crashed, rebuilt, designed and manufactured recreational, rescue, commercial and personal hovercraft for over 30 years! Russ has won three national UK championships driving Flying Fish hovercraft, raced in the hovercraft world championships, crossed the English channel and completed numerous 1000km 'Raids'

Flying Fish has also run driving events for the public for ten years gaining massive experience in their own craft, meaning that the craft has been truly 'torture tested' by over 6000 inexperienced stag and hen parties, corporate drivers and thrill seekers. Russ & Emma decided to sell this part of the business off in 2012 in order to concentrate on the core business of designing and manufacturing small hovercraft. this passion for hovercraft is backed up by sound engineering making for a range of personal hovercraft for recreational Hovercrafting that will appeal to anyone who loves karting, boating, jet skis or just the rush of adrenaline from flying over land and water with total freedom!
